This page was created in 2020 in collaboration with a number of SGPS team members and service providers. SGPS Commissioners, Academic Advisors, and Executive members worked together to create an accessible platform where Student Leaders and Advocates can access information easily. The purpose of this advocacy page is three-fold

  1. First, to provide an accessible platform where Queen’s University is held accountable for statements and reports made on anti-racism and EDII efforts;
  2. Secondly, reduce the workload of student advocates who are providing significant amounts of free labour on behalf of the administration;
  3. Finally, to encourage discussion and interaction of the SGPS team and our members in the active participation in anti-racism efforts.

As of August 13, 2020 this page has two tabs: University Anti-Racism and EDII reports and Statements from Senior Leadership (Rector, Principal, Dean SGS, Provost). Both the statements and reports have been compiled from the last decade and will be updated to extend the timeline as our work continues on this. This platform will continue to change and be updated throughout the year and as initiatives come to the SGPS; we will also be including a link to an anonymous feedback page where you can suggest reports/statements that were missed in this initial launch and any other tabs that you think we could add to this platform.
