[SOLD OUT] SGPS Ski Trip to Calbogie Resort
January 27, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - January 28, 2018 @ 7:00 pm$125
** Valid Student ID will be required in order to reserve a spot. This trip is for Graduate and Professional Students ONLY at Queen’s.
The SGPS is organizing an overnight ski trip to Calabogie Peaks Resort this January for our graduate and professional students!
The total cost of the trip for each student is $125, and this includes one night accommodation, transportation to and from Calabogie Peaks Resort, a one day lift ticket and rentals.
A bus from Queen’s University will take students to Calabogie Peaks Resort at 4pm on Saturday, January 27th. The SGPS has booked 10 rooms (4 people to each room) at The Oaks, a hotel that is located central to the Resort (for more information, refer to: http://www.calabogievo.com/vacation-ownership/condominiums/the-oaks.html). There is a swimming pool and hot tub in the hotel, so make sure to bring a swimsuit!
Students will wake up early on Sunday, January 28th and get geared up for a day of skiing on the various trails at Calabogie. There are many various levels that are available for students to try (refer to: http://www.calabogie.com/mountain/trail-maps-web-cams/ski-trail-map.html) and students can purchase lessons at an additional cost if preferred.
A bus will take students back to Queen’s University that same evening, on Sunday January 28th. The lifts close around 3pm, so we will most likely be back in Kingston around 6pm.
Food will not be provided on this trip, however students can bring their own snacks and food, and there are many restaurants and bars at Calabogie Peaks Resort.
Any information about the resort and the various amenities that will be offered can be found at this website here: http://www.calabogie.com/
If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to reach Martyna (Social Commissioner) at firstname.lastname@example.org or Colette at email@example.com.
We will most likely host an information session a week before the event to sort out any details and answer any specific questions students may have – date and time to be determined.
