September 30, 2022
September 30th is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. It is a day to reflect and educate oneself on Canada’s colonial history and its ongoing implication for Indigenous communities. We at the SGPS are using this day to continue to reflect on the colonial history of Queen’s and the work left to be done for Queen’s and the SGPS to align with all of the recommendations presented by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada. We encourage all of our members to use this time to do the same. Things to do: Read and sign the Queen’s Indigenous Initiative Commitment to Reconciliation.
